I’ve begun to feel a longing in my gut; it's a longing for everyday kindness. When in traffic, or on line at the local Target, I just want some ordinary kindness. What people used to call "common courtesy."
I miss it.
I don’t think I’m alone. I think a lot of us miss that sense that we’re teammates - we’re compatriots - in our daily lives; out here living and parking and working and schooling and doing all the things.
Do you miss it, too?
We’re going to have a 2 day retreat to take a break from all the aloneness and unkindness. I sure hope you’re there. We can be kind to each other and remind each other: we don’t have to every thing alone.
